Com quase 2400 triatletas inscritos, os amadores deram show no 47º Mundial de Ironman, realizado no Havaí para os homens (45), na ilha de Big Island.

Destaque para o estoniano Timo Jeret, vencedor geral com o tempo de 8h27min01s, e o japonês de 84 anos Hiroshi Nakata (84), grande campeão da sua categoria com o tempo de 15h59min58s.

Os brasileiros conquistaram inéditos 5 vice-campeonatos mundiais na edição de 2024.
